Together, we'll be creating a collection of these special blankets to gift families in our community or you can bring your own sewing project to work on.  Whether you're an experienced sewer or have never touched a sewing machine before, we'd love to have you join us. Join us for a mid week coffee catch up in a relaxed, child friendly environment.  Each term we meet at different cafes around Canberra on the 1st & 3rd Wednesdays of the month. Term 4 will be outside, enjoying the sunshine. There is a playground near by and if children are present we may grab our coffees as 'take away' and walk to the playground.  Term 4 we will meeting at Two Before Ten at Greenway, Parking is in the side street (2hr free) or a short walk away at Bunnings.   *This is a self funded activity. *Registering for this is not essential, however it is helpful for making the reservation and keeping an eye out for newcomers. 

🎄✨ Ladies’ Night: Christmas Card Workshop! ✨🎄 It’s time to get crafty and festive! 💌 Join us for a fun Christmas Card Workshop with the lovely Sharon from Creative Cardmaking, who will guide us through creating two beautiful handmade Christmas cards to send to loved ones this Christmas. And of course, no Ladies’ Night would be complete without dessert! 🍰☕️ 📅 Friday 30th October ⏰ 7:00pm 📍 Solid Rock Community Space, Weston Creek 💰 $10 per person — includes all materials + dessert! We will have a few different painting projects for you to choose from, or you can bring your own.  We will have a selection of Acrylic Paints, brushes and Canvas & Easels, ceramic coasters/vases for you to select from. We will meet at the outside seated area just right of the Regatta Point Entry. We will confirm meet up location the day prior with a pin drop of location sent via email. This is our pilot Family Camping weekend for families who enjoy camping and would love to be part of what we hope will be the first of many Solid Rock Ministry Family Camps. Our friends, Steve and Cath, have generously offered their rustic-style campground in Wee Jasper—just 1hr 45 minute drive from Canberra—for Solid Rock families to come together and enjoy a weekend of connection, rest, and outdoor fun. When: 5:00pm, August 21st – 2:00pm, August 23rd There are two accommodation options available: • Self-camping, with access to toilets and showers (Small cost involved for utilities)  • Ensuite dorm-style rooms of shared living space with fireplace (limited availability) cost involved & BYO additional Linen to your needs (The beds have Sheets/Doonas on them).   The campground includes a communal camp kitchen, campfire space, bushwalking tracks, and plenty of open space to explore. Sausage Sizzle dinner provided on the Friday night.  Self catering for the rest of the weekend Planned Activities will include Saturday Night Campfire, Kids Scavenger Hunt, Low ropes Family challenge and a Field service on Sunday Morning. There is potential for high ropes activities (additional cost applies for the high ropes). Do you love baking? Would you like to bless others with your skills in the kitchen? Solid Rock Minitsry is hosting the local DMFS team for morning tea in the SR community Space, Weston Creek. We are seeking volunteers to provide a baked item that we can serve for morning tea. We only need a few baked items so select whether you are willing to do Gluten Free or standard. We ask that you provide a list of ingredients with the baked item. A member of our team will coordinate pick up or drop off details with you either the day prior or on the day of the event.
